For The 2011 Symposium

Hosted By Walt Disney World Resort

Please join us, May 22nd thru 25th, 2011 at the 17th annual AALSO Symposium in Orlando, Florida at the Walt Disney World Resort. The host hotel this year will be Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The Symposium will be held in the elegant Coronado Springs Convention Center.

We strongly urge all attendees to rapidly book their reservations at the Coronado Springs Resort, citing the AALSO Symposium as their reference – to receive unheard of low prices! Lodging at $119 + associated taxes, a night. The link for booking hotel reservations will be located on the website.

Even better, the lodging rates will be honored for 3 days before and 3 days after – an excuse breaker for not attending -and even more important, a chance to share this fantastic complex of facilities with your family. When you book your rooms, make sure to state in the notes if you would like to reserve rooms for extra days before or after the Symposium.

A few details – that may save you some money and inconvenience!

First, for the Symposium, and transit to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Magical Express will take you free – to and from the Orlando International Airport. Simply sign up for the bus ride to the resort when booking your room. For certain participating airlines, the resort will pre-board you, provide your boarding pass and check your bag to your destination “both ways”. Your bags will be delivered to your room and picked up at your room and delivered to the airport. No more hauling the bag or standing in line to check in. Go right to the gate! Just make sure that the airline you are using is a participating airline. Don’t worry, if it isn’t, you can still sign up for the free shuttle, you will just be required to pick up your own bags and then report to the shuttle for transportation to the resort.

Of course, TSA security checks at the airport are still required.

Symposium attendees are eligible for substantial discounts on one day and park hopper tickets. Details on ticket prices to follow.

On Sunday, we will have a Golf Tournament at the premier Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course, a George Fazio designed challenge with lots of rolling terrain and sand traps to provide amusement. Entry fees are $60 for this great opportunity and include range balls and rental clubs, the traditional electric cart and a small packet of virtual patience. We will need 40 participants so get signed up early!

The resort area is some 45 square miles and has multiple venues, from Epcot to Typhoon Lagoon. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/

All transportation around the Walt Disney World Resort is free of charge so there will be no need to rent a car, but just in case, parking is free at the Resort.

Keep an eye out for registration as it will be opening soon. Links to book hotel rooms and buy park tickets will be located on the aalso.org website.

We hope to see you real soon!
